The Online Auction Starts in One Week!


Mark your calendars for this year's auction—Sunday March 27 through Wednesday April 6th.  The online auction is a great chance to win some awesome items while supporting the Burr community. We currently have 80+ auction items worth over $9,500 ready for bidding. Items that will be up for bid include:

Save the Date for the Creative Arts & Science Author Fest! 


When and Where: Tuesday April 12, 3:15-5:30pm at Cabot Elementary School

Come meet the creators of some of your favorite books! There will be 22 authors and illustrators at Cabot Elementary for a book signing event that is open to all families district-wide, with four of those creators coming directly to Burr School! A selection of the books featured at AuthorFest are for sale via Newtonville Books until March 21st.




Creative Arts and Sciences programs are fully funded by the Burr School PTO. 
Parents are welcome to attend, but no younger siblings please.

FORJ Double Feature March 17th




Burr FORJ invites you to join us on Thursday, March 17 for our Book Club collaboration with Horace Mann starting at 7pm and a General Burr FORJ meeting right afterwards starting at 8pm. 
Please see the agenda below and feel free to join us for some or part of the program! 
Please note: It's 100% okay if you do not join the Book Club that precedes the meeting or vice versa! 

Agenda: 

7:00pm-8:00pm | We will be reading and discussing King and the Dragonflies by Kacen Callender.

8:00pm-9:00pm | We will discuss the mayor's recent data on Newton hate incidents/crimes, navigate a scenario involving children and race, and get together in our working groups to discuss the upcoming FORJ sponsored movie night and hear from Michael Fagone, founder of the West Roxbury Diverse Libraries.
