                                                           Thank You for a Successful 2023 Auction!

It was great to see some of you at Paddy's on Thursday to mark the end of the auction. Thanks to everyone's support and participation the online auction raised about $8,000 for the Burr PTO!! Those funds will go to support classroom supplies, Creative Arts & Sciences programming, playground improvements, and more. 

Item Delivery:
  • Please be sure to pay your invoices asap.
  • You will hear from an auction committee member soon about how to get your item(s). For some of the physical items, we will have a table in front of Burr on Monday morning, be sure to watch your email for information.

Grownups-Only Burr Happy Hour

The Happy Hour at Paddy's is Thursday. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

If you will be coming, PLEASE RSVP and prepay now. This will allow us to make sure we get the right-sized room, and have food ready for everybody! And by pre-paying you will save $5 over door price on Thursday!

The Burr PTO is thrilled to invite you to our first grownups-only event since 2019!

Join the Burr community for a Happy Hour at Paddy's Public House (78 Elm St. in Newton) from 4:00-7:30pm on Thursday 3/23.

We will have a private (upstairs) room and each admission will include a drink ticket and light appetizers. (Additional drinks and food may be purchased.)

Thursday 3/23 will also be the last night of the Burr Fundraising Auction. We will have special items on display at the happy hour and you can make a winning bid from your phone!

Admission: 
$25 for one adult (includes one drink ticket and light appetizers) 
$45 for two adults—spouses, partners, friends, +1s of any kind! (includes two drink tickets and light appetizers for two)

CAS Program Announcement!—Annawon Weeden will be attending Burr School 3rd grade classrooms on Wednesday 3/22


Annawon provides historical information about Wampanoag people and their culture. As a modern day representative of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe, Annawon shares stories, language, clothing, tools, from a uniquely personal perspective. He is funny, engaging, and a great story teller. The 60 minute program includes a hand-on corn husk doll making activity. Please request that Annawon make the non-skirt wearing doll.

Parents are welcome to attend.
