Join us! Parents of kindergarteners are welcome to attend during their child's class time, but no younger siblings please.

World Cultures Fair

Coming April 27th

Calling all Burr families! We are looking for volunteers to represent their own culture (or an adopted one!). What is involved?:

  • Create a poster board or other VISUAL PRESENTATION (clothing/artwork/ etc) showing what makes your country unique. Some ideas are: a map, flag, customs, traditional clothing,  holidays, traditional foods, historically significant events etc. Each country will have a table to display their presentation.
  • FOOD TABLE! Ideally we’d love to have something to sample for each country, whether brought by the families doing the presentations or donated by other families. Food can be homemade or store bought. An ingredient list would be helpful for those who have food allergies.
  • We are also looking for PERFORMERS! Can you play a traditional song, perform a dance, or demonstrate a sport? We’d love to have you!

Multiple families can contribute to one country! Let us know which country you would like to represent and we will connect you.  Additionally, e
ach country will have the opportunity to be REIMBURSED $25 towards food, etc.  If you have any questions, please email ANGIE at angie@burrpto.org. Sign up at here

FINAL WEEK- CAN YOU HELP?

FINAL WEEK - CAN YOU HELP?

We are wrapping up our 23-24 Wolf Fund campaign.  We are still about $6,000 short of our goal and need your help to close the gap.

Each dollar will make a difference. The Burr School PTO aims to support education and build community in and out of our school building. Here are a few ways your donation helps:
  • A gift of $10 provides funds for a new book for our Little Diverse Library with FORJ and brings us closer to our goal of 130 participating families
  • A gift of $100 covers the cost of popsicles on Color Day in late spring
  • A gift of $150 pays the fees for using the school/field for one of our community events (like Boofest and Mayfair!)
  • A gift of $300 covers a Creative Arts and Sciences program for a single class ($900 per grade level program!)
  • A gift of $500 will cover 10 additional mats in to make our playground more accessible

If you haven't donated yet- give TODAY! Your gift in any amount helps support our school community.

Giving is easy. Choose any of these ways to give to the Wolf Fund:
