Volunteer at the School Library!



Interested in volunteering at the school library? It is a great opportunity to serve the Burr community and become involved in your students' learning!  Pick any library session during the school week (sign up for one or twenty! Your choice! It doesn't have to be your child's class) and join the magic that is Ms. Patino's library class! Your main tasks will include organizing the library shelves and helping students check in and out books. More information can be found here: Ms. Patino's Page for Volunteers. Picture Day Volunteers Sign Up



Parent volunteers are needed Friday morning, September 20, for Picture Day. 
It would be ideal if volunteers are available for the back-up rain date too (October 4), just in case.

Volunteers will assist photographers, organize class flow, and have lots of fun helping kids and teachers smile for their photos.

Join Story Starters with other Burr families!



      Story Starters is hosting a great program specifically for Burr School families this fall and we hope you can join! The deadline to register is September 20th. Participating in the program is a great way to start and strengthen conversations with our children about race and bias. 

     The program includes two in-person events for families (Sun. Oct. 6 3-4:30pm - Family Kickoff @Burr and Sun. Nov. 24 3-4:30pm - Family Celebration @Burr), two virtual workshops for caregivers (Wed. Oct. 16 7:30-9pm and Mon. Nov. 4 7:30-9pm), and you get some great guides and a bundle of books to read together. The events include some amazing authors who join to read their books and talk with us.

Room Parents Needed



Burr PTO is looking for parents to volunteer as Room Parents for their child’s classroom this year. As a Room Parent, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with teachers, help organize classroom activities, coordinate special events, and strengthen the connection between home and school. Label Fundraisers


Do you label your child's belognings (thermos, backpacks, lunchbox, clothes, pencil case, pencils, etc.)? Or have always wanted to and were not sure how or what company to use? 
This year we have partnered with 2 amazing label companies, Mabel’s Labels and Name Bubbles. Both of these companies will donate 20% of their sales to Burr PTO of every sale made through our link/affiliate. Make sure to follow instructions below, any additional questions please feel free to contact us.
