Newton PTO Council Meeting

Concerned about NPS budget/funding problems? Looking for ways to help? Here's one way you can lend your voice to the conversation:
The Newton PTO Council is holding a meeting soon (possibly this week), where we will speak to current and potential future elected officials about the impact of chronic underfunding. We are seeking parents, guardians, educators, etc. with specific anecdotes or examples, from the past several years, of:
  • Budget cuts hurting students' educational experience
  • Initiatives or activities being hampered or cancelled due to financial constraints
  • The PTO, parents or the community paying for things they ideally wouldn't have to
  • Beneficial new initiatives or services, particularly if they have been unable to expand or are in danger of ending due to financial constraints
  • Anything else along these lines
If you have something to share, please email copresidents@burrpto.org with as much detail as you are comfortable sharing. The intent is to collect examples from the Burr community and share them at the aforementioned meeting.
