At least two Room Parents are needed for each classroom. No experience necessary! If you’re a newbie, this is a great way to get to know your child’s teacher. If you’re a seasoned Room Parent vet, we’d love to have you volunteer again.

Room Parents act as a liaison between teachers and class parents. This doesn’t mean a lot of time spent in the classroom—much of the heavy lifting is done via email! The job varies depending on classroom and grade level, but teachers often ask for help coordinating things like end of year celebrations or chances for parents to volunteer in the classroom.
Room Parents also help the PTO spread the word to their classes via email about upcoming Burr activities and volunteer needs, like Halloween Family Fun Night, the Election Day Bake Sale and Gift for Burr.
