We are in desperate need of volunteers for the rescheduled Wednesday, March 23, Understanding Our Differences Unit on Deafness/Hard of Hearing. The program goes from 9-10:30am.
Can you be an Understanding Our Differences group leader to the Burr School 3rd and 4th Graders for the upcoming programs which are:
3rd grade (Wednesday 9-11am)
Rescheduled: March 23, 2017 -- Deafness/Hard of Hearing
We need 12 volunteers to run small group workshops with the 3rd graders on Lipreading, Finger spelling and Assistive technology used by people with deafness/hard of hearing on Wednesday, March 15 from 9-10:30am.
4th grade (Wednesday 9-11 am)
May 3, 2017 -- Chronic Medical Conditions
The goal of this citywide program is to increase information, understanding, and acceptance of people with disabilities and individual differences in our community.
Volunteers do not need to have children in a specific grade, teaching experience, or a medical background. We will provide the training and materials. You provide the fun!
