Diwali Celebration at Burr (November 17, 2019)
Diwali is the five-day festival of lights, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world. The festival, which coincides with the Hindu New Year, celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
Please join us for our Diwali Celebration in the Burr Cafetorium on Sunday November 17 4:00-6:00 pm. There will be art and crafts, music, dance performances by some Burr Students, and Indian home made food. Henna Tattoos by a professional Henna Artist will be available at the cost of $5 per person. So, please bring cash. Thank you for helping us host this wonderful event, we look forward to seeing all. Come dressed for the occasion if you wish!
