THE BURR PTO PRESENTS

Burr Elementary School Move-a-thon—Wednesday, June 9, 2021

Who: Burr students
When: Wednesday, June 9th (Rain date June 11th)
Where: On the Burr School field
Why: Because kids can make a difference too!

On Wednesday, June 9th, students at Burr School are taking up the challenge to both celebrate fitness and raise money for UNICEF USA to support families in the USA and across the world who have been impacted by COVID-19.  The entire Burr School will participate in the Move-a-thon by “moving” around the Burr field.  Students can choose how they move (walk, jog, run, skip, dance, jump rope, etc.) with the goal of moving around the track the entire time.

Money raised by Burr students at the Move-a-thon and during the Community Celebration on June 11th will go to UNICEF USA.  Sponsors can pledge an amount per lap or pledge a total amount for completing the event. After the Move-a-thon, students will return to their sponsors with their results and collect their pledges.  Print the pledge sheet here.  If you'd prefer to make a secure, electronic donation instead of sending in cash/check, click here.

We will adhere to all our regular school COVID safety protocols. All classes K-5 will walk/move for 30 minutes.
