Lunar New Year Celebration - Planning Meeting This Thursday!

Burr's LNY Celebration has been tentatively planned for Saturday, February 5th. This will be another outdoor celebration. While in early planning stages, we hope to feature performances, have some concessions and represent the many cultures that celebrate Lunar New Year.

We need your help! Does your family celebrate Lunar New Year? Do you have a tradition you'd like to share—whether it be a game, dance, music, custom or food? Or maybe you have access to a community dance troupe, etc? We'd love to hear from you!

Our next planning meeting will be Thursday, January 6th at 7:30pm. Please contact alyssa@burrpto.org if you'd like to attend! Thanks to all of you who joined the zoom earlier in December!

Newton Schools Foundation is proud to support CAS Authorfest 2022. Through contributions from individuals and businesses throughout the Newton community NSF is able to provide funding for grants to NPS staff that support new approaches in the classroom, professional development and programs that address inequities associated with race, income level and social identity..

Giving Tuesday recap

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to the Burr Community for its extraordinary generosity around Giving Tuesday. Since our challenge was announced, donations have risen from 33% to 67% of our $24,000 goal, and the number of families giving has nearly doubled to 95. This tremendous outpouring will result in all $500 of the challenge match being released. At almost $16,000, we still have just over $8,000 to go, but our goal is getting closer every day. Thank you, Wolf Pack!
