Newton Public Schools’ Creative Arts & Sciences* is dedicating April 12, 2022 to recognize and celebrate the importance of books in our children’s lives. A wide range of authors and illustrators will visit schools across the district to talk about the writing and illustrating process – from idea to published work. Your CAS team is working with teachers and principals to select presenters. Details about the author(s) and illustrator(s) coming to Burr School and the afterschool book sale and signing event will be shared in late January. For now, please save the date!

Interested in volunteering on the day of the event? Please contact your CAS representative debashree06@gmail.com

Covid? We’re working on a contingency plan should visitors still not be admitted into school buildings in April.

CAS AuthorFest is made possible by a generous grant from the Newton Schools Foundation, a contribution from The Village Bank in Auburndale, and your generous contributions to our PTO. Thank you!

Newton Schools Foundation is proud to support CAS Authorfest 2022. Through contributions from individuals and businesses throughout the Newton community NSF is able to provide funding for grants to NPS staff that support new approaches in the classroom, professional development and programs that address inequities associated with race, income level and social identity..
