CAS Event - World of Water

Evaporation and the Power of Steam

How did historic engineers use our water cycle, specifically evaporation and condensation, to power machines?  The water cycle and the 3 states of matter coincide in many different ways.  Evaporated steam is a gas so powerful that it was the sole source of power for locomotives, pumping engines, and ships.
